Project Co-ordinator (6-month Contract)

Responsibilities:
•     
To assist the HKIFF Programming Team in the preparation of the HKIFF Short Film Competition & a commissioned short film project.
•  
To monitor progress and budget of the commissioned short film project; provide regular update and report on the progress of the commissioned short film project.
•  
To confirm the Competition entries compliance with the requirements; prepare the entries for viewing by the selection in committee.
•  
To liaise with the HKIFF’s partner on matters of the commissioned short film project.
•  
To liaise with the local & overseas filmmakers and coordinate the submission of the final presentation copy (film print, videotape), and related publicity materials (eg. films stills, directors’ bio) required for editorial and publicity purposes.
•  
To liaise with overseas Competition entrants, filmmakers and jurors on travel related matters to Hong Kong.
•  
To liaise with local and overseas jurors on Competition related matters.
•  
To liaise with HKIFF Programming and Technical Teams for the logistics and public screenings of the works in the Competition and commissioned short film project at the 37th HKIFF, including but not limited to: TELA censorship application, coordinate transcription, translation and subtitling of the films if necessary.
•  
To facilitate the preparation of contracts with the filmmakers including but not limited to copyrights of the films, clearance of all licenses (music, footage, etc.)
•  
To assist with the research of HKIFF Programming Team and the implementation of other HKIFF logistics needs as required; and
•  
To perform any other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor and/or management from time to time.

Requirements:
•  
University graduate or equivalent
•  
At least 2 years’ relevant working experience
•  
Experience of working in logistics of cultural events and/or film production management will be an advantage
•  
Good communication skills in English and Chinese, with ability to draft meeting minutes and brief reports in English
•  
Proficiency of PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•  
Ability to work under pressure, independently, proactively and to meet deadlines
•  
Required to work overtime and irregular hours, including full-day work in weekends and public holidays during certain periods
