Clockenflap has a strong multi-media arts presence from contemporary emerging artists from Hong Kong and beyond. Unique in the fact that Clockenflap is held outdoors at the West Kowloon Cultural District, art installations tend to be of large format and often interactive – providing an alternative to gallery presented art. Kinetic and human-powered art pieces are a favorite of the festival – thus creating a deeper awareness of the mechanics behind them.

Running nonstop over the two-day festival is our ever-popular Film Tent. Catering to the cinemaniac in us all, it’s able to seat up to 200 people at once and will showcase a mixed local and international programme featuring dozens of independently produced short films, animations and music videos. This has included, amongst many others, the following film makers:

- Future Shorts, the largest short film network in the world

- Vincent Moon, the music video artist behind the celebrated works of Arcade Fire, R.E.M., The Kooks and Tom Jones, will be flown in exclusively for the festival.
